다솜한국학교 학부모님들께:
WHO가 COVID-19 corona virus에 대해서 3월 11일에 pandemic 선언을 하였고, 미국에서도 확산되고 있는 상황이어서 (참조: 미국 질병관리본부(https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus) 불안함도 있습니다만 모두 건강수칙을 잘 지켜서 바이러스의 전파를 막고 하루 속히 바이러스가 퇴치되기를 바랍니다.
지난 주에 말씀드린 바와 같이 이번 주부터 교실 수업이 아닌 대체 수업을 실시하게 됩니다. 대체수업은 다솜이 가입한 G Suite의 Hangouts Meet 프로그램과 다솜 웹사이트의 학생방을 통해서 진행될 예정이고, 교실 수업을 재개할 시점은 아직은 불투명하므로 계속 업데이트하겠습니다.
다솜에는 K부터 9학년까지의 다양한 연령층의 학생이 재학하고 있고 각 가정마다 인터넷 환경이 다를 수 있고 컴퓨터 사용을 잘하는 학생이라고 해도 컴퓨터 한글 자판이 없거나 한글 타이핑을 못하는 학생들이 있을 것이므로 각 가정의 상황에 맞는 가능한 방법을 사용하려고 합니다. 반별로 담임선생님이 연락을 드릴 것입니다. 온라인 수업을 위해서 부모님들의 협조가 절실합니다. 잘 부탁드립니다. 감사합니다.
- 온라인 수업(G Suite Hangouts Meet프로그램 사용)은 교실 수업처럼 3시간을 계속 할 수가 없습니다. 학생들의 연령에 맞추어 시간과 길이를 정하게 될 것입니다.
- 가정에서는 수업에 필요한 조용한 장소를 확보해 주시고 노트북 컴퓨터, 휴대폰 등을 준비해 주십시오.
- 각 담임선생님이 언제 어떻게 수업을 진행할 것이라는 통지를 토요일 전에 하실 겁니다. 연습 과정이 필요하므로 첫 날에는 연습도 시행할 예정입니다. 이와 관련된 사항은 다음 링크를 참조하십시오.

이메일 주소를 가진 학생은 다솜 웹에 학생 본인의 User Account를 만들어서 사용하는 것을 권합니다.
웹 계정 만들기 (Creating User Account)
학생 User Account를 새로 만들고 학교 측에 알리면 학생방에 글을 올릴 수 있는 권한을 주겠습니다. 학생 본인의 이메일 주소가 없는 경우에는 학부모 아이디로 로그인해서 학생방을 이용할 수 있습니다.

As we informed you last week via email, from this week and onwards, we will have alternative classes instead of on-campus classes. Alternative classes will be held through Dasom's G Suite’s Hangouts Meet service and Dasom website's Student Room. It is not yet certain when we can resume on-campus classes, but we will keep you updated.
Dasom has students from various age groups (K-9th grade). Each household may have different home environments and access to the Internet. Some students may not have a Hangul keyboard or know how to type in Hangeul. Thus, we try to use as many different methods as possible in teaching students. Parents' cooperation is essential, and we will need help from all parents. Thanks a lot for your help.
- We cannot conduct online classes continuously for 3 hours like we have in regular classroom settings. The length of a class will be set according to the age of the students.
- Please prepare all necessary materials for online classes, which include: a relatively quiet room, a laptop/cell phone, reliable Internet connection, textbooks and pencils and anything else you may need.
- The teacher will contact you in advance to notify you when class will be conducted. We will practice doing this on the first day to make sure all students are able to access the class. Please refer to the following link for help on this matter:

- To access the Dasom Student Room on the Dasom website, please click on the following link: https://www.dasomks.org/jml/community-students
- The student room can be accessed by logging in a user account. You must have an account and login to the account in order to access the Student Room on the Dasom website.

Otherwise, a student may use his/her parent’s account. (In this case, the parent should help to login to the account.)
